About Me!

Submitted by jacksonn1 on Thu, 08/25/2022 - 18:56

Hello everyone! My name is Naomi Jackson and I am a senior at the University of Arizona studying Physiology and Medical Sciences with minors in Biochemistry and Psychology! Currently, I aspire to go to medical school to become a pediatrician. I also love teaching, which is why I am so excited to be a part of this project this year. To be able to create modules to help educate and inform people about such a vital organ as the eye will be really impactful and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to do so!

Hello! My name is Kaelyn Chang, and I am a junior at the University of Arizona studying Physiology and Medical Sciences, alongside French Studies. In the future, I would love to attend medical school and ultimately provide compassionate, holistic care to patients as a physician. Specific fields that interest me so far include pediatrics, ophthalmology, cardiology, and endocrinology. After learning about how our nervous system interacts with our vision this past semester, I have become more interested in exploring these processes further.

Close your eyes and imagine a rainbow, what do you see?

For some, a vivid image comes to mind, but for others, they see nothing. This is known as aphantasia, the inability to picture things. Approximately 1-3% of people live with this inability.
